During this season of thanksgiving, may you and yours harvest more than just energy, but peace, love and joy as well.

SPI 2019 Video Showcase

Did you miss APsystems at this year’s SPI? You’re in luck! Solar Power World did the rounds for you. APsystems senior director of marketing Jason Higginson details what was showcased at this SPI 2019 in Salt Lake City.

A great show at SPI 2019!

Thank you for joining APsystems at Solar Power International. Our team thoroughly enjoyed our time and conversations with so many fellow solar professionals. We continue to see the tremendous interest in our YC600 and QS1 products as well as using them together on the same circuit. We’ve also heard your feedback looking for helpful tips and best practices on setting up the ECU-R.

Here are some useful tools to make your APsystems experience a game changer. Our QS1 Cabling video provides helpful scenarios for panel types and layouts as well as utilizing it in the same circuit as the YC600. The ECU-R video is a 5-part series covering the entire set up and commissioning process as well as next steps in the EMA.

You can find these and even more resources on our YouTube channel and in our online library. Thanks again for stopping by and we look forward to seeing you at the next APsystems event.

Join APsystems at SPI 2019

APsystems invites you to stop by booth #2336 at this year’s SPI trade show in Salt Lake City, Utah to view its latest and greatest solar microinverter products, including the YC600, the most advanced dual-module microinverter in the world, and the QS1, a four-module, single phase microinverter offering a 300% faster installation time, the highest peak output power and YC600 compatibility on the same circuit and ECU. Both units utilize a 2.4GHz wireless Zigbee mesh network, providing enhanced data transmissions speeds, up to three times faster than conventional powerline communication (PLC). A wider MPPT voltage range means a greater energy harvest for customers.

APsystems also proudly introduces its APsmart brand of DC MLPE devices, including the Rapid Shutdown Device (RSD) and Transmitter-PLC. Compliant with NEC 690.12 Rapid Shutdown and SunSpec certified, the RSD and Transmitter are an ideal solution for module-level rapid shutdown.

Stop by booth #2336 to see this latest product offering from APsystems and APsmart. We look forward to seeing you there!

APsystems launches APsmart brand of DC MLPE devices

APsmart is a new brand of DC module-level electronics, including the RSD (Rapid Shutdown Device) and Transmitter-PLC for enabling rapid shutdown compliance at a solar site. Certified to SunSpec and NEC 690.12 Rapid Shutdown requirements, the RSD and Transmitter-PLC offer built-in safety, reliable technology, and are an ideal rapid shutdown compliance solution.

The APsmart RSD System is a SunSpec Alliance Certified [paired] device which maintains constant communication between the RSD and the Transmitter, constantly monitoring voltage and current. When proper voltage is not detected the Transmitter stops sending the keep-alive signal to the RSD-S-PLC device, immediately initiating the module-level rapid shutdown sequence.

About APsmart
From the developers at APsystems, APsmart offers state-of-the-art DC MLPE products. Leveraging APsystems’ proven expertise in module-level power electronics, APsmart solutions are powered by ASIC with its internal IP and integrated with TI chips at the system-level application. Learn more about APsmart and the RSD solution at  APsmartGlobal.com or stop by the APsmart kiosk at booth #2336 at Solar Power International next week in Salt Lake City.

ECU-R Video Series launched for Installation Pros

Now available on the APsystems website and its YouTube channel, professional installers can learn the ins and outs of the installation, setup and commissioning of the ECU-R gateway. A collection of 5 videos, the ECU-R series covers the tools needed, features overview, placement, connections, use of the ECU APP, inverter scanning, syncing with the ECU-R, and final setup steps in the APsystems online EMA monitoring platform.

“The new video series covers the majority of the basics professional installers need to know on the ECU-R,” says Jason Higginson, Senior Director of Marketing. “These videos will allow them to move more quickly and easily through the setup process.”

There is also a wealth of additional product information, install manuals and training materials available on the APsystems website and the APsystems YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/APsystemsSolar

QS1 Cabling Video

Have you seen our new QS1 cabling & connection video? This video provides information on QS1 inverter/PV module connection in different scenarios such as portrait vs. landscape, tandem use with the YC600, use with split cell/half-cut cell modules and when to use DC extension cables.

QS1 & YC600 Compatibility Showcased at NABCEP

APsystems proudly showcased the QS1 and YC600 microinverters at the NABCEP event in San Diego last month, and spent some time highlighting one of the best and most understated qualities of those products for attending installers: QS1 and YC600 compatibility on the same circuit. Thanks to a smart engineering design strategy, the QS1 4-in-1 microinverter can be placed on the same trunk cable as the YC600 2-in-1 microinverter and plug-and-play together on the same 20A circuit. This functionality adds tremendous flexibility to an installer’s design layout, and thanks to the nature of multi-module microinverters, also saves them time and money.

Thanks to all the installers who came by our booth or attended our training at the NABCEP conference. We look forward to seeing you at the next event!
