Liberty Hall, Everett Community College

Liberty Hall, Everett Community College’s new health sciences building, includes an 80-panel, 19.2 kilowatt array powering important educational and community activities.

The three-story, 72,000-square-foot building in Everett, Wash., is home to EvCC’s nursing, medical assisting and phlebotomy programs, as well as other health sciences training. It also houses an expanded Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic, featuring 20 exam rooms, and the college’s Criminal Justice program.

The system was installed by Fire Mountain Solar of Mount Vernon, Wash. PV modules are by itek Energy of Bellingham, with APsystems YC500A microinverters from Blue Frog Solar in Poulsbo. Funding came from state and local sources, and a grant from the Snohomish County PUD.

The system is expected to produce at least 18,000 kW hours annually. A large monitor in the main-floor lobby of Liberty Hall displays the array’s production analytics in real time, demonstrating the power of solar to ECC students and visitors.
