Congratulations to Arch Solar, one of our 2024 second-place winners, recognized for their innovative 15.56 kW installation for Holmade Wine, a small Milwaukee vintner with energy needs far beyond a typical home. Working closely with the Holmstrom family, Arch Solar designed a mixed ground-mount and roof-mount system that seamlessly integrated multiple module wattages and racking technologies, all powered by APsystems DS3 and DS3-L microinverters. With shading challenges in their wooded setting and a need for an optimal DC-AC ratio, APsystems microinverters provided the flexibility, performance, and module-level visibility required to maximize production. Since going live in March, the system has fully covered Holmade Wine’s electricity costs and continues to deliver reliable output, making this project a standout example of smart design and strong engineering. A new chapter in solar innovation begins at the Nanjing International Expo Center in China! This landmark 25MW solar project spans more than 150,000 square meters and features 6,442 APsystems QT2D microinverters powering over 40,000 high-efficiency photovoltaic modules. The system is expected to generate approximately 24.8 million kWh annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 25,000 tons each year—the equivalent of planting 900,000 trees.
