Zero export opens more doors for EZ1 plug-in microinverter
In areas where sending excess solar energy back to the grid may be restricted, the optional APmeter gives installers another way to put plug-in solar to work.
The APmeter monitors power flow at the home’s electrical panel. When EZ1 production starts to exceed what the home is using, it automatically adjusts EZ1 output—helping prevent excess solar power from backfeeding to the utility grid.
✓ Monitors household power flow
✓ Matches EZ1 output to energy demand
✓ Provides automatic zero-export control
✓ Integrates directly with EZ1
That means another option for customers whose projects call for zero-export operation or who simply want to keep their solar production at home.
The APmeter is sold separately and requires installation at the electrical panel.
