Swiftwater San Juans Residence

Swiftwater Electric & Solar in the San Juan Islands, Washington state installed this 6.6 kW solar system using 15 APsystems DS3 microinverters. Owner David Nicol says, “They have a sub-1% unit failure rate, which is great,” and the 2:1 design “means we have half the equipment on the roof — and half the opportunity for anything to fail.” This system is estimated to save the homeowner $998 per year on their electric bill while delivering reliable, cost-effective solar energy.
